Good to know before you travel
These are London City’s own rules for cars dropping off and picking up, and what they mean for your fare.
£8 drop-off charge: included
London City charges £8 for up to 5 minutes on the drop-off forecourt in front of the terminal. London City’s £8 drop-off charge is already included in your quoted fare. If a drop-off takes longer than London City’s first 5 minutes, the airport’s extra charge is added to your fare.
A 10-minute maximum stay
Cars can stay on the drop-off forecourt for 10 minutes at most, so please be ready to unload and say your goodbyes quickly. Charges are taken by number-plate camera and are part of your fare.
Pickups: your driver parks and comes in
The drop-off forecourt isn’t for waiting, so your driver parks in London City’s pick-up area, a short walk from the terminal, and comes in to meet you in the arrivals hall. That’s why London City pickups include an airport car-parking charge.

How long does it take to get to London City from South West London?
From Wandsworth it usually takes 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic and the time of day. Allow extra time in weekday rush hours, as the route crosses central or east London.
What time should I be picked up for my London City flight?
Check how early your airline asks you to arrive, then allow for the journey and traffic. Tell us your flight time when you book and we’ll suggest a pickup time.
How far ahead should I book my London City transfer?
As soon as you know your flight times. All our journeys are pre-booked, and for early-morning flights and busy times it’s best to book as early as you can. Need a car at short notice? Call 020 8874 2000 and we’ll tell you how quickly we can get to you.
Which terminal does London City use?
London City has a single terminal, so all flights use the same building. Just tell us your flight number when you book.
What if my flight lands early or late?

Can you supply a child seat?
Yes. Child seats are available on request. Just mention it when you book so we can fit it before pickup.
Do you have wheelchair-accessible cars?
No, we don’t have wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Folding wheelchairs and other mobility aids are carried free, and assistance dogs travel free. Please tell us your needs when you book. See our accessibility terms.
How do I change or cancel a London City booking?
Call or WhatsApp us as early as possible. With at least 24 hours’ notice there’s no cancellation fee and your fare is refunded, less any non-refundable admin fee. Later cancellations may be charged, as set out in our booking terms.
