We want everyone to be able to travel with us. This page explains the help we can give, what we can’t currently offer, and how accessible our website is. It should be read with clause 8 of our Terms and Conditions.
1. Tell Us What You Need
1.1.When you book, let us know about any disability, mobility aid, assistance dog or other help you need. You can tell us by phone on 020 8874 2000, in the notes on our Book Now form, on WhatsApp (07876 252992) or by email at info@az-cars.co.uk.
1.2.We’ll make sure the right vehicle and help are ready. We will never refuse a booking because of a disability.
2. Wheelchairs and Mobility Aids
2.1.Folding wheelchairs, walking frames and other mobility aids are carried free of charge. Your driver will help load and unload them.
2.2.We do not currently have wheelchair-accessible vehicles (WAVs), so we cannot carry passengers who need to stay seated in their wheelchair. If that applies to you, tell us when you call and we’ll let you know straight away so you can make other arrangements. Eligible Londoners can also use TfL’s Dial-a-Ride service.
2.3.If you can transfer from your wheelchair to a car seat, tell us how much help you need and we’ll send a suitable vehicle.
3. Assistance Dogs
3.1.Assistance dogs are always welcome, can stay with you for the whole journey, and are carried at no extra charge.
3.2.The only exception is a driver who holds a medical exemption certificate issued by TfL. If that happens, we will send another driver.
4. Help From Your Driver
4.1.Your driver will help you get to and from the vehicle, help you in and out, and carry your mobility aids and luggage, at no extra charge.
4.2.If you have sight loss, your driver will help you find the vehicle. Tell us when you book if you’d like the driver to call you on arrival.
4.3.Our executive vehicles seat up to 4 passengers. Tell us if you need more room for equipment and we’ll suggest the right vehicle.
5. Child Seats
5.1.Child and baby car seats are supplied on request. Please tell us the age of each child when you book so we can provide the right seat.
6. Other Ways to Book
6.1.If you are deaf, hard of hearing or prefer not to use the phone, you can book through our Book Now form, on WhatsApp (07876 252992) or by email at info@az-cars.co.uk.
6.2.If you find our website hard to use, call 020 8874 2000 at any time, day or night, and we’ll book for you.
7. Your Rights
7.1.Under the Equality Act 2010, as amended by the Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles (Disabled Persons) Act 2022, minicab drivers must carry disabled passengers and their mobility aids, give reasonable mobility assistance, and must not charge extra for doing so. Operators must not refuse a booking because of a disability.
7.2.If we have not met these standards, please tell us using our Complaints & Lost Property page. You can also contact TfL or the Equality Advisory and Support Service (0808 800 0082).
8. Website Accessibility Statement
8.1.We want az-cars.co.uk to be easy for everyone to use, and we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have designed our pages with clear headings, readable text sizes and strong colour contrast, and we check them on mobile phones and desktop computers.
8.2.Known issues: the online booking form is provided by separate booking software and is shown inside a frame, so it may be harder to use with some screen readers. Our customer reviews are shown by a separate service (Trustindex) that we cannot fully control. Some icon links in the footer do not yet have text labels. We are working on these.
8.3.If something doesn’t work for you, call 020 8874 2000 and we’ll take your booking by phone. To report a problem with the website, email info@az-cars.co.uk.
8.4.This statement was prepared on 25 October 2026, following a review of the website.
