Five cruise ports
The cruise ports we drive to
Door-to-terminal journeys from homes, hotels and offices across South West London. Journey times are approximate and depend on traffic and the time of day.
- SOU
Southampton
The UK’s busiest cruise port. Southampton has five cruise terminals: Ocean and QEII in the Eastern Docks, and Mayflower, City and Horizon in the Western Docks. From Wandsworth it’s usually about 2 to 2½ hours.
Which terminal? It’s set for each sailing, so check your cruise documents and tell us the terminal when you book.
- DVR
Dover
Dover’s cruise terminals are in the Western Docks: Cruise Terminal 1, in the old Dover Marine railway station, and the purpose-built Cruise Terminal 2. From Wandsworth it’s usually about 2 to 2½ hours.
Which terminal?Your cruise documents say whether you sail from Cruise Terminal 1 or 2. Tell us when you book.
- PME
Portsmouth
Cruise ships use Portsmouth International Port, which also handles ferries, so give us your ship and sailing time when you book. From Wandsworth it’s usually about 1¾ to 2 hours.
What we needYour ship, sailing date and the check-in time on your cruise documents.
- HAR
Harwich
Harwich International Port at Parkeston, Essex, has a purpose-built cruise terminal. It’s the longest of the five runs from South West London. From Wandsworth it’s usually about 2½ to 3 hours.
Plan aheadBook early and allow plenty of time: we’ll suggest a pickup time that leaves room for traffic.
- TIL
Tilbury
The London International Cruise Terminal at Tilbury, on the Thames in Essex, is the closest of the five cruise ports to London. From Wandsworth it’s usually about 1½ hours.
What we needYour ship, sailing date and the check-in time on your cruise documents.
Terminals are set by the port for each sailing and can change, so always check your cruise documents. Port details checked October 2026. Sailing from somewhere else? Contact us for a quote.

Good to know
Before you sail
A few things that make sailing day easier.
Arrive in your check-in slot
Your cruise line gives you a check-in time. We plan your pickup so you arrive within it, with a margin for traffic on the motorway.
Check your terminal
Ports such as Southampton and Dover have more than one cruise terminal, and the terminal is set for each sailing. Tell us the one on your cruise documents.
Cruise luggage takes room
Cruises often mean bigger cases. Tell us how many bags you have, and we’ll send an estate, MPV or 7-seater if you need one.

Cruise transfer FAQ
Cruise port transfer questions
Which cruise ports do you go to?
We take pre-booked journeys from South West London to Southampton, Dover, Portsmouth, Harwich and Tilbury, and back again. Sailing from somewhere else? Contact us for a quote.
How long does it take to get to the cruise port?
As a rough guide from Wandsworth: Southampton, about 2 to 2½ hours; Dover, about 2 to 2½ hours; Portsmouth, about 1¾ to 2 hours; Harwich, about 2½ to 3 hours; Tilbury, about 1½ hours. Times depend on traffic and the time of day, so allow extra at busy times.
What time should I be picked up?
Check the check-in time on your cruise documents, then allow for the journey and traffic. Tell us your port, terminal and check-in time when you book, and we’ll suggest a pickup time.
Which Southampton cruise terminal do I need?
Southampton has five cruise terminals: Ocean and QEII in the Eastern Docks, and Mayflower, City and Horizon in the Western Docks. The terminal is set for each sailing, so check your cruise documents and tell us which one when you book.
Can you pick us up when our cruise ends?
Yes. Tell us your port, ship and the date your cruise ends, and when you expect to leave the ship. We’ll agree your pickup time and meeting point in advance. If your plans change on the day, call 020 8874 2000.
Will our cruise luggage fit?
Tell us how many people and bags you have when you book. An estate takes up to 3 large cases, an MPV seats up to 6 with 4 large cases, and we also have 7-seaters. For a big group or a lot of luggage, we can send more than one car. See our fleet & luggage guide.
How much is a cruise port transfer, and how do I pay?
Your price is shown upfront, including any fees, before you confirm. Enter your journey on our booking page to see it, or call us for a quote. You can pay online, by card, cash or BACS, with no card surcharge. See our booking terms.
Can I book the journey there and back at the same time?
Yes. Book both journeys together and give us the details for each: your sailing for the way out, and the date and time your cruise ends for the way back.
How far ahead should I book my cruise transfer?
As soon as your sailing is confirmed. All our journeys are pre-booked, and embarkation days are busy, so it’s best to book as early as you can. If your plans change, call 020 8874 2000.
Can you take us from the airport to the cruise port?
Can you supply a child seat?
Yes. Child seats are available on request, or you’re welcome to bring your own. Just mention it when you book so we can have one ready before pickup.

How do I change or cancel a cruise transfer?

Are you a licensed minicab firm?
